Paper Roll Rocket

Build Your Very Own Rocket Ship

Here is a fun activity you can do with your kids and use up those old paper towel rolls at the same time. This fun idea came from a website called No Time For Flashcards. They have lots of great activities for kids.

Things You’ll Need:

1. An empty paper towel or toilet roll
2. Paint (any color)
3. A small paint brush
4. Red or orange tissue paper
5. One piece of construction paper
6. Glue
7. Scissors
8. Aluminum foil

How To Make A Rocket Ship

Step 1. Paint your paper roll

Step 2. While the paint is drying, cut out some flames using your tissue paper

Step 3. Cut long, thin pieces of aluminum foil and glue them onto the bottom half of your paper roll

Step 4. Make a cone using construction paper

Step 5. Glue the cone to the top of paper roll (hold until dry)

Step 6. Glue the flames to the bottom of the paper roll

Step 7. Now your rocket is ready to BLAST off
