Family First Child Care is owned and operated by Courtney and Steven Cantrell. They have owned the center since July of 2018. Courtney has been a director for 15 years and has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology.
Family First is the only infant facility in Newton and is the largest facility in Harvey County. They are licensed for 123 infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Classroom care is provided for children ages 2 weeks to school age, with a curriculum guided by the Kansas Early Learning Standards.
Family First is dedicated to providing quality care for children, with safety being their first priority. They have entrance security and only provide currently enrolled families and staff members with individual key codes. All classrooms and playground areas are monitored and recorded by color cameras.
