Nisly Brothers Touch a Truck Event with Peace Connections
Nisly Brothers helped at a Touch a Truck event recently in Newton, KS. One of our employees is connected with Peace Connections and suggested they host a Touch a Truck event for local children in the Newton, KS area. Peace Connections was excited to make it happen, and we at Nisly Brothers were just as excited to be a part of it and help local children get to experience our big trash trucks. Two of the Nisly team, Alex and Jordan, demonstrated how the truck dumps the trash container over the top of the truck and the trash falls into the truck.
Jordan and Alex showed the children around the vehicle. They also helped the kids get inside the cab and look around.
As a fun gift, they gave each of the children a Nisly frisbee.

What is a Touch A Truck Event?
A Touch a Truck event is a fun time for kids and their families to get up close to trucks, whether trash trucks like Nisly Brothers has, or other trucks like firetrucks, semis, farm trucks, etc. At these events, kids often get to climb into the cabs of trucks, get their photos taken, and make fun memories while learning more about the vehicles that power life today.
Who Arranges a Touch a truck?
Touch a Truck events can be arranged by community centers, businesses, parks, and any other organization. The organization can simply reach out to local truck companies to invite them to attend the fun event and help give children a glimpse into these big trucks.
