Jim Potter is a retired Reno County Sheriff’s Office deputy and author. In the sandhills of Reno County, he is busy writing and marketing his books. Jim recently published a novella, Deputy Jennings Meets the Amish. This novella is about an obese sheriff’s deputy who has interactions with the Old Order Amish while on patrol duty.

Jim is an independent author with Sandhenge Publications. While Jim writes, J. Alex Potter, his wife, creates sculpture in her nearby art studio. Her sculptures of Jim’s fictional characters are pictured in some of his books.
